Case Study: Kinetic — Commercial Office Refurbishment & Shower Block

Project Overview

SV Contracts were appointed by Kinetic to carry out a full refurbishment of their commercial premises in Oldbury, West Midlands. Delivered over a 30-week programme, the works spanned three floors and included the construction of a brand new shower block facility, requiring close coordination across multiple trades throughout.

Three-Storey Refurbishment

Following a full M&E strip out across all three floors, SV Contracts completed the following works:

• Complete roof overlay and roof access relocation

• Removal of block walls to create larger, open plan office spaces

• Full M&E installation including distribution boards

• Complete plumbing throughout

• New partition walls

• Suspended ceilings

• Flooring throughout

• Decoration throughout

• All new fire doors

• New kitchens including units, tiling and appliances

• New toilets and washrooms including sanitary ware, shower cubicles and aqua panelling

New Shower Block

SV Contracts designed and delivered a purpose-built shower block from the ground up:

• New M&E installation

• Groundworks for drainage

• MF ceilings throughout

• Full plumbing package

• Flooring and tiling

• Aqua panelling

• Supply and fitting of shower cubicles

• Decoration and fire doors

• Supply and fitting of new lockers

Outcome

Completed within the 30-week programme, the project delivered a fully modernised workplace for Kinetic across all three floors, complemented by a brand new shower block facility. SV Contracts successfully self-delivered a complex, multi-trade programme from initial strip out through to handover, demonstrating their capability to manage large-scale commercial refurbishments to a high standard.
